Botanical Supreme

So here is one of my favorite newest additions to my home, thank you Home Goods! My hub's and I were out visiting our newest favorite store, and ran across this bed set! We were hooked! Perfect colors, perfect look, had us written all over it... SOLD!




Also found this... totally in love with it as well...



Haven't hung it yet, but I actually like where it is for now as our bedroom is far from finished...

next up is tone down the paint with either a really pale blue or white... perhaps even a slightly grey white... still to be determined!

Free house tour...

Here is a tour of my house before I moved in... I always like to see where something starts from...

My house is a 2 bedroom, 2.5 bath townhouse, fairly new construction. It is packed with windows and cottage charm just from the architecture.

I will soon post updates to these so you can see the progress! I really don't like to think of rooms as ever finished, I think they always evolve and I like that because that means I always get to do something in my house!!!

So here is the downstairs...

Here is the second bedroom/bathroom that we have made into a guest room & office... this is the room that has been most challenging so far. But challenges are good.

This is the start...

So today is my first post on here, and it is hopefully the start of some good things to come. I am excited to start sharing design stuff and my house as it progresses, as well as the start of my own business, and other fun things that pop up!

Today, one of my best friends called me up and mentioned us going into business together. After spending the day coming up with information about how we want to do things, I think we decided to give it a go... with the economy in the shape it's in, I think we are both at the point where we will try about anything. Our hubby's are on board, so off we go...

My house isn't getting much attention lately, other than keeping it clean... :-p It's hard for an interior designer-in-the-making to sit around and not do anything with their house... I definitely have to add some pics of my house, and will do asap. What good is a blog about design and house stuff without pics?!? Luckily for my husband, bargain shopping is about the only way I know how to shop, so that will be something that I'll probably throw in here too...

A week from today I start summer classes, this is a first for me, but it's the beginning of my last year of design school. It feels like a beginning for a new part of my life. I am excited of all the things that seem to be happening... things are looking up and that is one of life's best feelings! So here is to a new start!
